Controller

Trillium Construction is hiring for a Controller in Bettendorf, IA to work for a local respected general contractor to handle the accounting, payroll, and HR duties for the company.

This is a direct hire, full-time, long-term position with an annual salary between $75,000 - $125,000, plus benefits, PTO, 401k, and monthly vehicle allowance!

Duties:
-Monitor cash flow/bank activity – make deposits, record deposits received, transfer funds, reconcile bank accounts at month end
Setup/monitor company credit cards – add/remove users, monitor expenses/credit limits
-Complete business forms for insurance applications
-Complete audits for GL and Work Comp
-Report, monitor, and process pending claims
-Regularly review subcontractor certificates of insurance
-Setup new users and projects in Quickbooks
-Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports
-Coordinate year end files/tax return
-Monitor/review/communicate any contract/subcontractor changes/requirements
-Prepare and distribute handbooks and tax forms for new employees
-Gather timecards and process payroll bi-weekly
-Prepare and submit bi-weekly/monthly/and quarterly payroll taxes
-Prepare and submit W-2s, and 1099s annually
Coordinate/update contracts for licensed software (Windows, Microsoft QuickBooks, etc.)
-Track costs and billings for projects currently in process
-Monitor accounts payable/receivable

Qualifications:
-5+ years of related experience, preferably within the construction industry
-Proficient in Quickbooks, and MS Office programs
-Must have strong organizational skills
-Must be able to multi-task
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
