Business Development Manager

This role is based in our North American headquarters in Houston, Texas, and requires travel to customer sites across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead generation and prospecting
• Identifying and creating new business opportunities
• Driving sales through industry partnerships and resellers
• Conducting preliminary assessments for Demand Response potential
• Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and contracts
• Closing deals and achieving sales targets
• Maintaining consultative relationships with clients
• Participating in seminars, trade shows, and other marketing events

Essential Requirements:
• Proven track record in sales success
• Knowledge of ERCOT energy and ancillary service markets
• 5+ years’ experience in relevant sectors like demand response, electrical systems, or power generation
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields is a plus
• Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills
• Highly self-motivated and professional
• Excellent interpersonal and technical sales capabilities
Desirable:
• Pre-existing relationships with Texas-based industrial and commercial consumers
• Familiarity with demand response and demand-side management
• Knowledge of energy consumption, efficiency measures, and the electricity supply industry
