Technical Sales and Applications Engineer

Technical Sales and Applications Engineer needed in Green Bay, WI! Direct Hire!

The Technical Sales and Applications Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, performing applications and design functions to meet customer needs and specifications, recommending changes in design or specs as needed, project analysis, assisting with customer complaints and warranty issues, and relaying the timeline and progression of work in progress with the client. Additional duties may include training clients on equipment, attending trade shows to promote business, and preparing and delivering technical presentations to clients. Travel is required, when necessary, roughly 5-10%.

Our client is looking for a technical aptitude with the knowledge of or ability to learn engineering concepts related to web handling, stress and deflection, heat-transfer, fluid dynamics, metals and metallurgy, plating and coatings, rubber covering, balancing and power transmission. Training is available and you will be trained by one of the best leaders in the industry! 
This is a 1st shift, direct hire role, with a well-established and growing organization in Green Bay, WI!  The standard hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with flexibility. Salary ranges based on experience level, $90,000-$110,000/year and beyond, plus year-end bonus potential.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in design, sales, job shop, machining, or web handling industries.
* 5-7+ years engineering or technical sales experience, highly preferred.
* Converting or Web Handling experience a big plus.
* Strong understanding of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, along with the ability to read and interpret drawings, required.
* High level of technical aptitude
* Strong customer service, negotiation, and critical thinking skills required.
* Willingness to travel 5-10%
