Preconstruction Manager
Trillium Construction is now hiring in Las Vegas, NV!
Our client is an electrical contractor specializing in large commercial projects like healthcare, hospitality, education, and more. They are now looking to bring on a Preconstruction Manager to head the Estimating department in Las Vegas, NV. This is a direct hire, full time opportunity with a salary of up to $150k plus benefits like M/V/D, PTO, 401k, Vehicle Allowance and gas card, phone allowance, etc. We are looking for someone to help continue to grow business in the Las Vegas market with General Contractors in the area.
Duties:
-Responsible for business development and product-services marketing
-Reviews bid opportunities to determine competitive advantages
-Attends estimating/sales meetings, project meetings, meets with customers/clients to discuss bid status, present proposals, negotiate bids, and present/solve problem issues.
-Performs job walks to observe any field conditions that may affect the construction, impact the prospective bid, and/or pre-construction designs and build services.
-Meets with general contractors and site personnel, as needed.
-Manages preconstruction activities during the design phase on design-build & design-assist projects
-Reviews and evaluates project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.
-Requests material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers.
-Reviews the quotes to confirm adherence to quote request and accuracy.
-Develops and maintains a positive relationship with vendors.
-Stays current with new products, means, and methods
-Attend various industry related networking events, client activities, charitable functions, etc. which may take place at varying times of the day and/or days of the week
-Manages some aspects of design during design build/design assist process and manages budget updates during design build/design assist process.

Qualifications:
-BA/BS Degree in construction, electrical design and theory, or degree in related field; and 4 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Has the ability to understand legal requirements, including reviewing contracts, pre-qualifications packages, labor laws, prevailing wage compliance, small business or minority owned business conditions
-Ability to use computer and other computer related equipment and appropriate software such as Adobe Acrobat, REVU, Navis Works, SketchUp, MS Office 365, Office Bluebeam, and Accubid to access and input information. Uses counting devices, measure devices (architectural and engineering scales), tracer, ALCAN cable design, etc.
-Experience working with General Contractors and has established relationships.
