Welder

Local manufacturing company is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join their team.

Work schedule is Mon-Fri 6:00 A.M.-2:30 P.M. and pay rate is $16/hour.

Overall Responsibility:
-To produce quality products in a timely manner with minimum scrap and failures. And other duties as assigned.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
-Learn and follow work instructions
-Identify and report equipment problems in the shortest time possible, issue maintenance work orders when appropriate
-Accuracy and completeness of all appropriate paperwork or reports relating to correctly completed work orders
-Advise Supervisor of all problems
-Complete welding set ups for the successful on time production of quality hose
-Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or material problems in the shortest possible time frame
-Precisely follow and adhere to all production specifications and procedures for this classification
-Constantly patrol equipment, materials and operation
-Avoid all preventable equipment breakdowns, production delays and downtime due to lack of information
-Solve and correct all material problems
-Accept and share responsibilities for turning over a clean work area
-Ability to weld hoses without the assistance of team members
-Take initiative to help others as needed
-Have a good understanding of the process control and monitoring system
-Achieve target in efficiency, scrap and recognition of all materials used in production
-Have a good track record in producing and meeting the schedule of quality requirements to produce quality product
-Excel in planning for setup, operation of equipment and upcoming changeovers
-Driving forklift in a safe manner
-Know and follow rules, methods, policies and procedures of the workplace
-Learn and follow ISO procedures for work instructions in this classification

Requirements:
-Must have previous welding & fabrication experience
-Possess strong mechanical skills
-Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions
-Ability to perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
-Able to lift up to 50 lbs
