Our client specializes in heavy civil construction building projects like water treatment facilities and bridges. They are now looking to bring on an Assistant Project Manager in Portland, OR. This is a direct hire opportunity with many years worth of projects lined up/ The salary ranges between $120K and $130K a year depending on experience plus benefits like M/V/D, 401k, PTO, etc. 

Duties:
-Assist the team in developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules. Coordinate resources and materials to ensure timely project completion. 
-Assist in monitoring project budgets, expenses, and costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to financial targets. 
-Oversee contract negotiations, procurement, and subcontractor management. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements. 
-Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports. Prepare comprehensive project reports for internal and external stakeholders. 
-Help and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives. Foster a collaborative work environment and promote teamwork and accountability. 
-Address project challenges and obstacles effectively. Implement innovative solutions to overcome issues and ensure project success.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 
-Minimum of 2-3?years of experience in construction project management, preferably in water facility projects. 
-Strong understanding of concrete and pipe installation processes and techniques. 
-Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from initiation to completion. 
-Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. 
-Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in the Portland, OR area. 
-PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
