Quality Control Technician Job Description
The Quality Control (QC) Technician position is a hands-on construction role that is responsible for executing the Quality Control Program. A key individual in achieving the division’s goals and objectives. This position requires great communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Payrate: $22. Monday-Friday 10hr shifts with occasional work on the weekends. May-October.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
-Cultivate safety as a core value throughout the company, supporting the corporate safety program and personnel.
-Responsible for execution of site-specific QC plan at the direction of the QC Coordinator.
-Apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Method of Procedures (MOP), and QC checklists.
-Perform & document quality control inspections.
-Upload inspections & photos to the QC Program software platform.
-Identify and communicate non-conformance material, installation, or QC test results.
-Ensure that all QC records are accurate, uniform, and adequately maintained prior to submission to the QC Coordinator.
-Assist construction team as needed with identified non-conformance remediation.
-Assist QC Coordinator with tracking & closing out incomplete inspections and non-conformance issues.
-Provide support and assistance to other divisions as needed.
-Handle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
-Highschool Diploma/GED.
-1+ years general construction experience.
-2+ years solar electrical experience.
-Experience with electrical testing procedures and digital documentation (Required).
-Familiar with AHJ standards, and NEC code (Required).
-Understands how to read and interpret plans, specifications, and equipment standards.
-Demonstrates commitment to high professional ethical standards.
-Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
-Must Pass a drug screening
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
-Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
-Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
-Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
-Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
-Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
-Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
