HR Generalist

Trillium Staffing is recruiting for an HR Generalist position in Standish, MI!
This is a temporary, part-time position that might turn into a permanent, full-time position. Starting pay is $19.00/hr and the hours are flexible, but the candidate can expect to work 20-25 hours a week until mid-August, when they would have the option of working full-time hours through mid-November.
In this position, you will:
-Assist in the recruiting process
-Ensure and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
-Support leaders and mangers with employee relations and disciplinary issues
-Be an active member on the Safety Committee
-Assist in the coordination of training activities
-Be proficient in Paycor HRIS system
-Assist in employee leave requests and workers comp related issues
-Maintain employee files
-Assist in planning employee engagement activities and recommend strategies to motivate
-Other duties as assigned

To qualify for this position, you will have:
-Associate degree In Human Resources. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-3+ years of direct and progressive HR experience
-Familiarity with FMLA, FLSA, ADA and HIPAA and employment law
-Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, communications, and interaction skills required to communicate with all levels within the organization
-Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred
-Prior collective bargaining experience a plus
-The ability to provide a high level of service to other areas of the company and to appropriately prioritize and manage requests in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
-Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
-Excellent reliability in previous work history and attendance in this role
-Strong computer skills
-Must pass all pre-employment screening
