Trillium is Now Hiring a Railcar Blaster in Lynchburg, VA

Trillium is Now Hiring a Railcar Blaster for a leading freight rail services and transportation company.

The general purpose of this position is to use a variety of abrasive blasting techniques on the exterior and interior of railcars.

This is a first shift position. The schedule is Monday - Thursday, from 5:00am to 3:30pm. Voluntary OT on Fridays! 4-Day workweek! The pay rate is $20.00 - $23 per hour based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
-Interpret job work orders to perform required work
-Notify Supervisor of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
-Interact with crew members in a team environment, as well as with Supervisor
-Comply with the company Quality Program by following all in-house quality processes and procedures and required AAR and FRA rules and regulations as well as any client-specific procedures.

Qualifications include:
-High-school diploma or equivalent
-Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate English at a proficient level
-Must be able to learn function-specific operational details and pass an exam to demonstrate knowledge
-Must have knowledge of equipment and tools required to perform safe entry for blasting
-Must perform and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail
-Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
-Must be able to fully pass the fitness-for-duty examination, pre-employment physical, and pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings
