Civil Estimator

Trillium Construction is hiring for a Civil Estimator position in Brookings, SD to bid on site development, demolition, heavy civil, and land development projects throughout southeast South Dakota.

This is a direct-hire, full-time position, with a hybrid schedule possible.

Duties:
-Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
-Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information and ensure project goals and objectives are met.
-Utilize industry-leading software and tools to perform quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates

Compensation:
-Annual salary between $90,000 - $110,000/yr, can be higher depending on experience

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field is preferred.
-Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
-Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
-Proficiency in using estimating software and tools; Trimble Business Center and AgTek preferred.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
