Digital FPGA Design Engineering Manager
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Digital FPGA Design Engineering Manager for direct-hire!
Our company is looking for a Digital/FPGA Design Engineering Manager to lead a group of circuit card and FPGA designers.
The company’s Space and Defense Group is a proven provider of high performance and reliable space-rated avionics hardware and software. Products include control and data handling, power distribution, payload interface cards, mass memory, GPS receivers, motor and actuation drivers and controllers, and onboard computing.
As a Digital/FPGA Design Engineering Manager, you will…
· Manage a matrixed team of up to 10-12 (possibly more)
· Provide technical support and knowledge
· Select engineering tools
· Drive improvements in design processes
· Mentor and encourage new engineers
· Lead fault analysis team
· Allocate engineering personnel.
· Review circuit analysis and board level designs.
· Ensuring engineering team adheres to the required policies and processes
· Foster a culture of enjoying engineering design.
· Review electrical schematics/layouts
· Review FPGA designs
· Attend design reviews
· Provide engineering feedback to design architectures.
· Encourage teamwork
· Provide team members the correct tools for the job.
· Measure and report progress toward on-time delivery goals
· Ensure the design project meets internal and customer requirements by ensuring adherence to the required policies and procedures
Base Salary - USD $148,000 to $180,000. Apply now!
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
· 10 or more years of design and development in both circuit card and FPGA design.
· Space design work preferred.
· Digital design expertise including modern microprocessors / DSPs, high speed digital logic, FPGA, memory, analog-to-digital, digital-to-analog converters, and communication links.
· Demonstrate detail knowledge of VHDL coding and how to optimize for performance
· Analysis expertise including power dissipation, power consumption, timing, signal integrity, component derating
· Demonstrate detailed knowledge of board design and layout including design tools
· History of managing/leading people.
· This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.
· 10+ to 15 years experience
