Safety Representative

Trillium Construction is hiring for a Safety Rep in Austin, TX to work on a 2-year project with a national contractor that specializes in delivering turnkey automation, control, and electrical solutions for industrial and infrastructure clients.

Duties:
-Serve as an ambassador for the Global Safety Team, promoting the principles and commitments of the Global Safety Charter
conducting a complete incident investigation
-Maintain the Contractor’s list of incidents and OSHA 300 log or equivalent log of incidents, injuries, and corrective actions
-Maintain current understanding of applicable safety and health regulations, standards, and best practices.
-Create and utilize a process for reviewing PTPs and JHAs
-Routinely verify special procedures are being executed correctly (e.g., confined space entry, LO/TO, excavations, or hot work).
-Routinely verify safety orientations are conducted as specified in the SSSP
-Ensure all safety training certifications and records have been verified and documented
-Coordinate regulatory agency inspections and notify all affected parties

Compensation:
-$30/hr - $35/hr, working 50 hours/week
-M/V/D benefits

Qualifications:
-1-3 years of experience in safety, preferably in the construction field
-OSHA 30 certification required
-Current CPR/First Aid training
