Job Description

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Demand Planning Production Manager for direct-hire placement!

This is 1st Shift. The pay is $90K-$105K. The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for the production planning and scheduling activities of manufactured finished goods.

•In collaboration with the other leaders, provides and ensures efficient, effective and continuous production of all finished cased goods, as well as supply of raw and packaging materials in line with forecasts, planned production and inventory policies.
•Accurately create and maintain production related master data.

Key Responsibilities and Activities
•Provides an input to the development and implementation of the planning strategy and inventory management policies and guidelines.
•Analyze a variety of information and data from multiple operational sources in order to support the PL in making informed decisions about manufactured product supply.
•In line with inventory management policies, supports the PL in analyzing performance data and monitoring performance against set KPI’s and when necessary, contributes to the definition of the KPIs.
•Contributes to the deployment of sustainable planning actions following inventory management guidelines and programs.

Planning activities
•Develops production plans and schedules required to satisfy demand and that are in line with planning strategies and inventory policies.
•Analyze changes to sales & purchasing forecasts to determine impact on supply and recommend adjustments to demand and/or supply plans.
•Monitor production plant output and adjust schedule as required.
•Identify constraints to production plans and adjust as required.
•Monitor manufactured FG service delivery performance.
•Executes the MRP process to generate purchase requirements that ensures availability of raw/packaging material required to meet production schedules.
•Monitor changes to MRP output and advise purchasing team of POs that require expediting or delay.
•Provide projections for packaging and raw materials.
•Project production capacity requirements to identify constraints.
•Develops and maintains finished goods and packaging materials depletion reports as needed.
•Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchase requirements and production plans to ensure levels meet targets.
•Assists the PL with the identification of slow moving and obsolete stock.
•Supports the PL with the coordination of and preparation for the S&OP process.
•Generates planning reports relating to manufactured cased finished goods, raw/packaging materials and planning master data as required.
•Along with the Supply Planner, responsible for the creation, modification and deletion of all materials master data in the Planning related information systems required to ensure supply and reporting requirements.

o Possess the basic knowledge of supply chain activites including transformation of raw materials and components into a finished product that is delivered to an end customer.

• Manufacturing Process Knowledge
o Possess a very good understanding and practical knowledge of the company’s manufacturing processess and equipment capabilities.

• Products Knowledge
o Possess detailed knowledge of the company’s finished products, packaging and raw materials.

• Process Improvement Knowledge
o The ability to visualize the total process and aid in locating, quantifying and correcting root causes of problems.

• Technical/Competencies
• Production Planning & Scheduling Knowledge
o Possess a detailed knowledge of how to develop a production plan and translate this production plan into a time phased production schedule.

• Materials Requirements Planning Knowledge
o Possess detailed knowledge of how to plan orders for production actvities and purchase requistions for purchasing to implement.

• Inventory Management Knowledge
o Possess a very good understanding of the different types of inventory, inventory management KPIs and the management of surplus and obsolete stock .

• ERP Systems Knowledge
o Possess a detailed understanding of the areas of the ERP that are associated with product supply such as Bills of Materials and Material Master.

• S&OP Process Knowledge
o Possess a very good understanding of the S&OP process and the capability to assemble the necessary data to support this process.
