Job Description

Trillium Staffing has a Direct hire opportunity for a Real Estate Lending Assistant Manager. 

Starting wage is $65,000-68,000 and the hours are 9-5pm. The candidate should have a complete understanding of Mortgage Origination, Underwriting, Processing, Closing, and Servicing.

Job/Task Functions:
A. Assist the Real Estate Lending Manager in operation of all segments of the mortgage process to include assuming the responsibility of department operations in the absence of the Real Estate Lending Manager.  Work closely with the Real Estate Lending Manager, area supervisors and staff members to coordinate activities within and between the Branch system.
B. Monitor systems within the mortgage area for maximum utilization of staff, technology, and efficient delivery of products and services.
C. On-going training and cross-training of the team to provide the depth necessary for growth and succession.  Assure team is familiar with and able to cross-sell products and services by continual training sessions with appropriate personnel.  Mentor staff and assists them with sales opportunities and decisions beyond policy guidelines.
D. Assist Real Estate Lending Manager in tracking systems and monthly reports for portfolio production, expense, income and secondary market reporting requirements. 
E. Provide support with the team member scheduling.
F. Assist Real Estate Lending Manager in ensuring that performance reviews are accurate and completed on time.
G. Maintain working knowledge on all FICS, Fannie Mae, FHA, FHLBI & Rural Housing software and Secondary Market guidelines for selling and servicing of loans.
H. Maintain proficient underwriting skills and knowledge satisfactory to Secondary Market requirements.
I. Functions as a loan officer within limits assigned and imposed by Loan Policy.
J. Assist Real Estate Lending Manager in maintainence of a complete loan policy and procedures manual. 
K. Assist the Real Estate Lending Manager in the management of the Secondary Market portfolio; including the sales, delivery and servicing of the loans.
L. Maintain a high level of open communication with Lending Management Team.  Also, maintain excellent level of communication with staff and management.  Promotes a “team” environment and atmosphere within the department.
M. Assist Real Estate Lending Manager in research of new mortgage products and recommend changes to existing products to meet competitive conditions and assure quality member service.
N. Informs management if it is believed the mortgage lending programs are not in compliance with legislative and regulatory laws.
O. Assists Real Estate Lending Manager and real estate team in timely implementation and reporting of compliance and regulatory items as they arise or become due.
P. Respond to and resolve issues and concerns presented by employees and/or realtors in a timely manner.
R. Monitor vendor relationships and billings to assure Department goals are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.  Maintain vendor management files per Regulatory guidelines.
S. Manage file auditing for third party external audits as required by investors.  Prepare responses to third party audits for management review.
T. Assist Real Estate Lending Manager with monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews and NCUA exam.

• Two year or four year college degree in Business Administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience preferred. 
• Three to five years of direct experience in all facets, of mortgage lending and knowledge of secondary market requirements.
• Management experience in some capacity preferred.
