Job Description

Trillium Technical is now seeking a System Administrator for direct-hire placement!

System Administrator duties include, but are not limited to, supporting the following systems through the tasks listed below: 

Maintain the client’s global emergency mass notification system.
• Perform any and all system configuration to ensure users and groups receive the correct notifications.
• Update and maintain group membership/message templates within the mass notification application.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise within the application or with a notification recipient.
• Develop a relationship with and become a resource for administrators, users, clients, and facility contacts.
• Create and update system documentation such as policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Train the end-users and customers on the web application/user interface.

Maintain the client’s global video surveillance, intrusion/fire alarm monitoring applications.
• Perform system configuration to ensure all client facilities globally are safe and secure.
• Work closely with project managers/coordinators to ensure on time delivery of project deliverables.
• Create and update system documentation such as policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Troubleshooting any and all issues that arise in the video surveillance, intrusion/fire alarm monitoring applications.
• Troubleshooting phoneline and network communication issues with field intrusion hardware.
• Maintain the clients current video management system (VMS), as well as conduct testing on any new potential VMS system, for the client.
• Work closely with the field technicians and the client to maintain current intrusion systems, as well as bring new intrusion systems online.

Maintain the Windows desktops, hardware, and internal systems that reside within the client’s global security operations center (GSOC).
• Provide first level support for each of the Windows machines within the clients GSOC (less than 10)
• Perform troubleshooting on any piece of GSOC hardware/software that may be experiencing issues, in order to resolve the issue or determine the root cause and next steps.
• Maintain the Microsoft Office Suite on each of the GSOC Windows machines.
• Maintain the clients current IP and analog phone system and configuration.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year computer experience; emphasis in Deskside Support and Application Administration.
• Experience with PC’s, Network Architecture, Windows Client/Server Systems.

Preferred Competencies:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Three years of deskside support and system/application administration.
• Exceptional computer skills with a proficiency in: Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365, Computer hardware functionality and troubleshooting and Windows operating system navigation and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based environments: Server 2016 and Windows 10
• Working TCP/IP networking knowledge and physical network equipment.
• Experience with Mass Notification, Intrusion, and CCTV systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A sound troubleshooting process for desktop and application support.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Highly organized with an attention to detail.
• Accomplished presentation skills and ability to present data and information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
