Senior Audit Associate
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior Audit Associate in San Diego!
Staff Audit Associate - Individuals at this level normally have a college degree with a major in accounting or other related business field and have from 1 to 4 years’ experience.
Staff accountants are expected to have:
-Good understanding of accounting concepts
-Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2
-Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
-Looking for individuals with strong technical and organization skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines and the ability to multitask.
-Able to work flexible hours as needed.
-Authorized to work in the United States
In this position they will:
-Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures.
-Understand professional standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
-Progress professionally by working toward passing the CPA exam as soon as possible.
-If assigned primarily to financial statement engagements:
-Become familiar with pronouncements of the FASB, AICPA, and when assigned to governmental engagements, the GAO and GASB.
-Become proficient at preparing financial statements.
-Obtain exposure to various types of financial statement engagements offered by the firm.
-Assume responsibility for unaudited financial statement engagements or segments of audits under the supervision of more experienced staff.

Qualified applicant should possess:
-BA/BS in Accounting
-Enough hours to sit for the CPA exam
-2+ years of related experience in public accounting
-Working knowledge of GAAP
-Excellent communication and leadership skills
-Strong client interaction skills
-Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
-Ability to meet deadlines
-Experience with nonprofits, affordable housing, and pension plan audits is preferred
-Proficiency with MS Office & QuickBooks
