Trillium Staffing now has a Direct hire opportunity for a Mortgage Lending Manager.
Purpose of Position: Oversees all segments of the mortgage process including Originations, Processing, Underwriting, Closing and Servicing. Act as a liaison between Staff, Loan Review Committee, Clients, Realtors and Vendors. Act in Administrative capacity in regards to requirements of Secondary Mortgage Market and internal needs of the Mortgage Department.
A. Oversee all segments of the mortgage process. Work closely with the area supervisor and staff members to coordinate activities within and between the client system.
B. Analyze and monitor systems within the mortgage area for maximum utilization of staff, technology, and efficient delivery of products and services.
C. Responsible for staff development; Coordinate training and cross-training to provide the depth necessary for growth and succession. Assure staff is familiar with and able to cross-sell products and services by coordinating training sessions with appropriate personnel.
D. Oversee tracking systems and monthly reports for portfolio production, expense, income and secondary market reporting requirements. Respond in a timely manner to requests from Management Team and the Secondary Market for information and reports as requested.
E. Maintain working knowledge on all FICS, Fannie Mae, FHA, & Rural Housing softwares and Secondary Market guidelines for selling and servicing of loans.
F. Maintain proficient underwriting skills and knowledge satisfactory to Secondary Market requirements.
G. Maintain a complete loan policy and procedures manual. Update the manual as needed or required. Provide information regarding any changes to appropriate personnel within the department.
A. Participates in the management of the Secondary Market portfolio; including the sales, delivery and servicing of the loans.
B. Participate in the development of the mortgage marketing plans. Works with and assists Originators, Underwriters, Processors, and Sales personnel to develop productive Realtor and community relationships to further department growth. Attend Realtor Association meetings, Sales meetings, Mortgage Association meetings, etc. as required.
C. Maintain a high level of open communication with Senior Management. Also, maintain excellent level of communication with staff and management. Promotes a “team” environment and atmosphere within the department and company.
D. Research new mortgage products and recommend changes to existing products to meet competitive conditions and assure quality service.
E. Prepare yearly departmental budget. Monitor actual versus budgeted expenses quarterly and prepare report listing reasons for variances.
F. Assure mortgage lending programs are in compliance with legislative and regulatory laws.
H. Monitor vendor relationships and billings to assure Department goals are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
I. Manage and review mortgage modification requests. Prepare monthly status report for management.
K. Conduct Performance Evaluations for mortgage staff.
Hours are 8am-5pm and the pay is $80,000-105,000 per year, depending on experience. If interested, please apply today!
• Bachelor degree is required.
• Minimum of five years of direct experience in all facets, of mortgage lending and knowledge of secondary market requirements.
• Minimum of three years experience as a departmental manager.
