Electrical Technician

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Wiring / Electrical Technician for direct-hire in Raleigh!

Direct hire opportunity working full-time generally M-F 7am-3pm with overtime as needed.  Pay rate of $26/hr.  This position will be based out of the Raleigh, NC area and interested individuals should reside close by.

In this role, you will:
 - Wire new cranes during fabrication process.
 - Troubleshoot electrical issues.
 - Work in the field as needed for startup operations and load testing including support for installation teams.
 - Support service and fabrication staff as needed.
 - Update team members on issues, needed supplies, and progress of projects.
 - Understand OSHA codes and CMAA guidelines for cranes and hoists.
 - Promote and advocate for safety at all times on each job site.
 - Complete required work orders, reports, and other paperwork promptly.
 - Maintain company-issued equipment such as vehicle, trailer, lifts, supplies, and tools including regular maintenance and service on such equipment.
 - Communicate with customers during visits and advise on proper crane usage.

To qualify for this position, you will have:
 - 1+ years of experience working with hoists and cranes.
 - Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
 - Industrial electric and controls experience.
 - Experience bending conduit.
 - Knowledge of conveyors including installation.
 - Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures in field installation.
 - Associate’s degree in electrical/mechanical systems and/or equivalent military technical training.
 - Knowledge of general labor and construction of cranes.
 - Understanding of high voltage (220v, 240v, 480v) and 3-phase motors.
 - Ability to read electrical blueprints and voltage meters.
 - Scissor lift and boom lift experience.
 - Proficiency with MS Office or similar software.
 - Valid driver’s license and insurable under company’s liability coverage.
 - Ability to pass background check protocols allowing access to military, state, and federal institutions.
