Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician position available in the Mid-west mostly Illinois area working for our client company who is a supplier of CNC tool and cutter grinders.

The ideal candidate will be flexible to travel throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and further west when needed.

This is a remote field service position covering multiple states. This is a direct hire opportunity with an anticipated pay rate of $38.00 an hour plus based on experience. Working hours will be Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour unpaid lunch. Travel required, must be flexible for overnight travel Monday-Friday. Seeking candidates with machine tool building experience. Hydraulics, electrical and robotics experience. Willing to train on the robotics side. 

Will install, test, service, repair and rebuild machines. Will ensure the equipment conforms with company operating specifications, and the customer requirements.

Key accountabilities:
-Will perform regular preventative machine maintenance
-Modify or update equipment when required
-Provide a rapid response 
-Perform mechanical repairs
-Install machines
-Maintain a healthy and safe work environment
-Conduct routine safety audits

Qualifications:
-Prefer 3-5 years of experience
-Demonstrated mechanical engineering skills and ability
-Willingness to travel when required
-PLC 
-Prior experience in tool grinding preferred but not required
-Machine building understanding a plus
-Demonstrated PC skills
