Job Description

Trillium Accounting has a Direct Hire on site Human Resource Generalist for growing Mortgage Firm in Spring Valley NY.

Compensation is $65.000 to 75,000. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Generalist will assist in the daily functions and activities for the team and be integral in developing and administering fundamental HR processes and procedures to set the team up for success. In this role, you will be the point person and provide support for the employees as it relates to general HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, performance, and benefits. This is a great opportunity for someone to come in and make their mark on an expanding team and implement best practices and people strategy.  A successful candidate will be an HR professional who is comfortable working independently and possesses meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and manage several priorities to meet all deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Essential Functions:
-Communicate company policies and job-related logistics to new hires
-Manage, enhance and process contractual new employee paperwork
-Conduct training analyses for various roles
-Administer new hire experience surveys and analyze feedback
-Take steps to ensure positive new hire experience
-Build onboarding kits for new hires
-Work cross-departmentally with IT, payroll and HR to ensure employees have all the necessary IT support and permissions to execute their role successfully
-Prepare reports on new hire metrics (i.e., scheduling trainings)
-Participate in regular team meetings to discuss priorities, current candidate / new hire pipelines that are being facilitated
-Post all job requisitions on all relevant channels
-Coordinate interviews and contact applicants, as needed
-Assist with post-employment screening such as reference, background checks, etc.
-Perform day-to-day administration of the company’s benefits plans including, but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending accounts
-Maintain employee files and records
-Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
-Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
-Ensure compliance with labor regulations
-Support the HR Manager and CAO with completing various HR projects.

-BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field
-3 – 5 years of practical Human Resources experience
-Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
-Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
-Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
-Experience using ADP Workforce Now platform
-Excellent communication and people skills
-Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
-Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills
-Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines/assignments
-Personal motivation and a sense of ownership
