Job Description

Trillium Staffing has a Dental Office Manager position available in the Flint, MI. area.

Direct hire opportunity. Pay range of $19.00 to $25.00 an hour. Hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The summer schedule may be Monday through Thursday depending on the need. The main role of this position will be to provide leadership in relation to the business of the Dental Clinic. The position will work with the Dentist / Member, to ensure the smooth operation of the Dental Clinic. The position will assume fiscal responsibility of Dental clinic operations, efficient staffing, scheduling and policy/procedure development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Plan and manage dental operations to ensure excellent patient experience and support.
-Oversee daily office activities, provide direction and guidance to staff as needed.
-Ensure proper handling of patient appointments, cancellations & last-minute adjustments.
-Respond promptly & efficiently to patient and doctors’ needs and inquiries.
-Ensure the delivery of quality dental care to patients.
-Respond to patient inquiries & issues and ensure patient satisfaction.
-Resolve patient issues in accordance with clinic’s policies & procedures, healthcare and dental board standards.
-Be very conversant and comfortable with insurance processing
-Organize and present payment schedules with patients.
-Manage specialist referral process.
-Train, develop & manage staff to meet performance standards.
-Develop promotional programs to attract more patients.
-Assist in employee performance evaluation, promotion, termination & retention activities
-Follow & enforce clinic policies and procedures.
-Review and approve vacations & sick leave for clinic staff.
-Identify areas of improvements/concerns and implement appropriate corrective actions.
-Oversee staff scheduling and ensure full clinic coverage.
-Organize and oversee supply purchases and expenses.
-Write business correspondences and reports.
-Run and analyze management reports.
-Securely maintain patient data according to regulations and clinic policies.
-Adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
-Take responsibility for the appearance & functionality of the dental office.
-All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

-Dental Assistant certification preferred
-3-5 years of recent & relevant working experience
-Understanding of dental insurance / management preferred.
