Trillium is Now Hiring Grinder/Turning Operator in Valley City, OH!

The primary responsibility for this position includes the set-up and operation of grinding and/or turning machines for one of the largest full-line cold finish steel bar producers in North America.

We have 2nd shift availability. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 3:30pm - 12:00am. Starting pay range is $19.00/hr depending on experience level.

Job Responsibilities:
-Set up and operate Grinding / Turning machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
-Grind, sand, and polish steel materials/bars. 
-Prepare surface for finishing.
-Correct defects. 
-Load or remove work pieces from worktables. 
-Clean equipment and worktables. 
-Maintain equipment. 
-Able to read and understand Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routers. 
-Must know what components are, in relation to the Bill of Materials. 
-Lifting/Moving work pieces weighing 50 pounds or greater.

Qualifications:
-Previous experience operating Grinding and/or turning machines
-Previous experience working in the steel industry/steel related materials
-Working knowledge of precision measurement instruments (caliper, micrometer etc.)
-Prior experience reading/working from blueprints/spec sheets.
-Previous experience operating overhead cranes and/or forklifts (preferred) 
-Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
-High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
-Able to pass pre-employment screenings.
