Welding Inspector

Quality Control Welding Inspector needed in Swainsboro, Ga with Trillium Construction!

Trillium Construction is looking for a QC Welding Inspector for a permanent opportunity to inspect and ensure the quality of welds performed by production staff and certify that the final products are free of defects.

QC Inspector must be able to read and interpret blueprints for structural steel and have knowledge of AWS and AISC codes applicable to steel erection and fabrication.

Quality Control will be responsible for fabricated materials conforming to drawings at shop standards and specifications to meet applicable codes. Computer skills and experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, etc. are necessary.
I nspector will be expected to perform visual and dimensional inspections of shop fabrication and including but not limited to:
-Receiving operations, fit-up inspections, weld preparations, final welds, and paint inspections
-Being able to identify and remedy drawing discrepancies with detailers
-Coordinating with customers’ inspectors during inspection phases
-Maintain and record in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control

Work schedule starts at 7:00am and is about 45-50/hrs a week. Pay starts at $30/hr or more depending on experience. Looking for locals only, or someone looking to relocate. Medical insurances, 401k, paid time off, holiday pay, and additional employee benefits are available.

Qualifications:
- 2-3yrs minimum experience
- Valid Driver’s License or ID
- Reliable transportation
- Completion of a verifiable vocational or training program (Preferred)
- Certifications for Inspection (Preferred)
- Must be able to complete pre-screening process
