Trillium Technical is now seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for direct-hire in Plymouth!

Annual salary is $64-83K and this is a hybrid position, will work in the office 1 day a week on Wednesday.

Under limited direction, is responsible for the daily HR operations of location/plant or business unit to ensure a positive work environment for all associates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Manages broad functional areas of Human Resources at the plant level: serves as a consultant to plant leadership and first line management on human resources-related issues and providing guidance daily.
-Acts as an employee champion and advocate while balancing the needs of company, legal requirements and business.
-Communicates needs proactively to the HR department and business management, seeks to develop integrated solutions.
-Maintains manpower planning / schedules and ensures regular and on-going communication with plant leaders: support KPl’s as related to HR and plant functions
-Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization
-Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, mid-year plans, culture and compensation.
-Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies (including labor relations).
-Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. -Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
-Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
-Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
-Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
-Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
-Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
-Provides guidance and input on structures, workforce planning and succession planning
-Identifies training needs and individual management coaching needs.
-Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs.
-Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
-Assist with leading safety activities including safety committee, corporate safety resources and others to ensure safety is a top  priority.
-Manage General Affairs activities including coordinating pool cars, vending services, building related activity and others.
-Manages grievance procedures to handle complaints that result from disputes with employees over work rules and interpretation of the policies
-Consults with Human Resources and managers to get input regarding wages, benefits, work rules and practices.
-Maintains manpower planning / schedules and ensures regular and on-going communication with plant leaders; support KPl’s as related to HR and plant functions
-Performs related duties as assigned

Safety Responsibilities
-Holds and enforces safety as the number one priority for self and others.
-Promotes safety processes and procedures throughout the plant by building and reinforcing a culture of safety.
-Encourages and supports Team Members’ involvement in the health and safety program.
-Holds team members accountable for their health and safety responsibilities. Actively discourages shortcuts and enforces safety policies with fairness and consistency.
-Provides continuous on the job instruction in safe work procedures and instructs Team Members on the proper usage and care of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

-Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Three to five years of human resource experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment including demonstrated knowledge of employment law and applicable regulations
