EV Fleet Mechanic

Trillium Staffing has a Direct hire opportunity for an EV Fleet Mechanic in Bloomington, IL

First shift opportunity. Starting pay is $35-$45 an hour plus $5k signing bonus!

Job duties:
-Regularly inspect all heavy duty vehicles (Class A or B) for condition and operational safety; ensure maintenance of the highest level, including physical appearance.
-Address immediate fleet concerns and maintain fleet service records: trouble-shoot/resolve issues to reduce the number of road calls and ensure a high level of safety within all operations.
-Track daily vehicle reports, maintenance, parts used and repair records
-Inform Fleet Management/Admin of on-board shuttle technology such as Wi-Fi devices, telematics systems and vehicle tablets to ensure the systems are functional and installed accordingly.

-Electric vehicle background required
-Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices in a commercial setting, servicing a variety of vehicles.
-General knowledge of bus, vehicle systems, vehicle maintenance and the mechanical workings of gasoline, diesel and battery powered transit vehicles.
-Hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical or other related field service experience.
-Experience with electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, hands-on training.
-Knowledge of maintenance tracking systems and applicable computer software (fleet telematics)
-HD ASE certified a plus
-Experience working with brakes and suspensions.
-Experience working with buses preferred, but not required
-Knowledgeable in reading software diagnostics (Insight is a plus)
-Power Train Certification a plus
-Minimum of three to five (3 - 5) years maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles
-Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
-High School Diploma or equivalent
