Job Description

Trillium Staffing is recruiting for a temp-to-hire Maintenance Technician in Standish, Michigan.

This is a first shift position, working Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.  Some overtime and an occasional weekend may be required. Pay will be based upon experience and skills.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Assist in the Maintenance of the Stamping Departments and all other area of operations using the objectives, procedures, and practices of the company as a guide.  Ensure safe practices. And operate production equipment.

Functional Duties and Responsibilities:
-Adherence to company safety standards, policies and procedures.
-Complete preventive maintenance work, Follow quality standards and compliance with internal and external safety parameters. Complete documentation pertaining to the quality and safety systems in place.
-Keep storage and shop area’s in a clean, orderly, and organized manner.
-Periodically inspects operations and property to ensure required maintenance and repairs are completed.
-Continuous assessment of machinery and infrastructure to address operational liabilities.
-Be an engaged proactive team member that works together to achieve company objectives
-Set up presses as required by schedule needs, including checking lubricant levels before running, completed setup paperwork and complete 10-minute run prior to handing press over to operator. And shut machines down when not being ran.
-Maintain dies and die inventory to ensure timely deployment.
-Assist in development of ideas and new methods to cultivate higher efficiency and reliability.
-Provide solutions as necessary through our Continuous Improvement Process (CIF)
-Makes suggestions for process improvement that are applicable.
-Be a self-starter and stay busy.
-Operate presses and other equipment when needed to support production needs.
-Adhere to the schedule put forth by production and or management.
-Record and notify management about damaged tooling and equipment.
-Be willing to learn new tasks and take on new responsibilities.
