Trillium Technical is now hiring a Business Systems Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts!
The Business Systems analyst supports IT development projects or operations by performing system configuration, development of technical documentation and presentation materials. Engages in user outreach, issues management, research, peer and best practices benchmarking, user provisioning, and end user training. Provides Tier One and Tier Two production support, including customer communication, troubleshooting, researching and recommending resolution options, following standard procedures and processes according to established service levels. Interviews key stakeholders and end users to analyze business processes and system needs. Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Captures use cases, user stories and conceptual process models. Meets with customers to field direct requests, discuss requirements and collaborate on solution design including business process and policy related matters where applicable. Candidate works with the technical team to make sure that requirements are well understood as part of the software development lifecycle e.g., requirements review, turnover, signoff. Develop test scripts and executes testing to ensure new products, enhancements, bug fixes, and patches function as expected and without introducing regression issues. Provide functional support during project release go lives, which may include occasional evening or weekend work. Assist with general administration, special projects, and performs other related job duties as needed. The ideal candidate must demonstrate keen problem-solving troubleshooting ability, business systems savvy, and attention to detail. The Statistical Analyst will sit on the Data Science team on the Science & Technology platform and will work with the Senior Statisticians and study teams to manipulate and analyze clinical data sets of existing and new projects. This is a contract to hire position and pay is based on experience. Responsibilities: • Perform data management functions including preparation of analytic data sets and detection of outliers and potential data quality issues. • Manipulation and analysis of clinical data sets, including administrative data. • Design and perform complex statistical analyses in consultation with study investigators and senior statistician. Analyses will incorporate quantitative methods including linear regression, logistic regression, Cox regression, and regression methods for clustered and repeated measures data. • Provide study team with succinct summary of the statistical methods and data analyses in a readily comprehensible fashion. • Work with study team to communicate process and results. • Carefully document all programming, data management, and decision steps, which will serve as a technical appendix to project deliverables. The documentation of all statistical programs will ensure reproducibility of any scientific findings. • Write complex programs using Base SAS, SAS Macro Language, SAS ODS facility, SAS GRAPH, SAS STAT. • Meet with study team routinely to discuss status of analysis, encountered issues, etc. • Participate in the preparation of statistical methods sections of grants and manuscripts under mentorship of Senior Statistician. • Perform sample size and power calculations when designing new studies. • Apply knowledge of both statistics and study design to inform protocols and study execution. • Other duties as assigned. • 3+ years of statistical programming experience in SAS
• Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, or public health preferred
• Working knowledge of STATA, R, Python and/or SQL preferred but not required
• Knowledge and application of Bayesian methods preferred but not required
• Strong database and overall computer skills
• Fluency with healthcare data and/or working knowledge of claims data preferred but not required
