The agency will be issuing a series of industry-specific alerts designed to keep workers safe. Check out the tips below for those of you working in the manufacturing and light industrial industries.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7755 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/pubblog.in.trilliumstaffing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/20190724-Trillium-Lite-Industrial-61smaller-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pubblog.in.trilliumstaffing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/20190724-Trillium-Lite-Industrial-61smaller-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pubblog.in.trilliumstaffing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/20190724-Trillium-Lite-Industrial-61smaller-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pubblog.in.trilliumstaffing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/20190724-Trillium-Lite-Industrial-61smaller-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pubblog.in.trilliumstaffing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/20190724-Trillium-Lite-Industrial-61smaller-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you are in the manufacturing industry, the following tips can help reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Encourage workers to say home if they are sick<\/li>\n<li>Establish flexible work hours (e.g., staggered shifts), if feasible.<\/li>\n<li>Practice sensible social distancing and maintain six feet between co-workers, where possible.<\/li>\n<li>For work activities where social distancing is a challenge, consider limiting the duration of these activities and\/or implementing innovative approaches, such as temporarily moving or repositioning workstations to create more distance or installing barriers (e.g., plexiglass shields) between workstations.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor public health communications about COVID-19 recommendations for the workplace and ensure that workers have access to and understand that information.<\/li>\n<li>Train workers on how to properly put on, use\/wear, take-off, and maintain protective clothing and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Allow workers to wear masks over their nose and mouth to prevent spread of the virus.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.<\/li>\n<li>Discourage workers from using other workers\u2019 tools and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Use Environmental Protection Agency-approved cleaning chemicals from List N or that have label claims against the coronavirus.<\/li>\n<li>Promote personal hygiene. If workers do not have access to soap and water for handwashing, provide alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60 percent alcohol.
