Nearly 70% of all the freight tonnage moved in the U.S. is moved on trucks.
Trucks move 9.2 billion tons of freight annually in the U.S.
3 million truck drivers are needed to move the 9.2 billion tons of freight.
The trucking industry requires 37 billion gallons of diesel fuel annually.
