Experienced Tool Design Engineer needed!
Job Description
Our client seeking dynamic Tool Design Engineer!
Primary Responsibilities Include:
-Develop/ track tool projects
-Lead Team reviews of Part and Tool designs.
-Design Thermoforming, Trimming tooling, and Gages
-Develop/ manage all tooling projects with tooling suppliers.
-Creates supporting documents for manufacturing.
-Provides CAD support to manufacturing.
-Supports corporate estimating
-Reviews part/prototype tool designs for manufacturability
-Contributing to continuous improvement in tool design, CAD/ Corporate processes#prosource
Qualifications
-Bachelors degree in Computer Aided Technology or Engineering.
-Strong in all of the following
-Mold and/or die design.
-CATIA V5 mechanical design (PDG & ASD), surface design (GSD), and drafting.
-CATIA customization (design automation) a plus.
-Rhinoceros and AutoCAD/DraftSight a plus.
-Microsoft Excel.
-Print reading skills including GD&T.
-Logical, process thinker, organizer, and decision maker.
-Communication skills with other employees, suppliers, and customers. This includes writing technical documents and being responsive to email.
-Teamwork.
-Work without supervision.
