Job Description
Responsible for complete assurance engagements (audits, reviews, compilations) and tax or other services either personally or in cooperation with others in accordance with applicable professional standards. Prepares engagement letters and any subsequent modifications for approval by Assurance Services Director or the general manager, answers any questions the client may have so there is a complete understanding of the nature and terms of an engagement, including an estimate of fees where applicable. Reviews staff assignments, making certain they are appropriate; must be fully familiar with the qualifications of all staff members. Performs final review of work papers generated and reports issued for audits and other engagements. Determines adequacy of work performed and work paper documentation with respect to the objectives of the particular engagement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Skills include: at least 5 years experience in public accounting (current), demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks and tax knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management. Certified Public Accountant. Effective collaboration skills with entire professional staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates technology skills to operate personal computer and function effectively using software products licensed by the firm. Preferred Qualifications and Skills include: working knowledge of agribusiness and cooperatives. Working knowledge of PPC audit methodologies. Working knowledge of Governmental Accounting/Auditing Standards.
