Job Description
Respected contractor is looking for 2 experienced Journeyman Electricians for direct hire opportunities in their Jackson location.
Journeyman’ s job is to oversee his assigned project and direct apprentices. Also, to communicate job progress and needs to Electrical Manager.
Capabilities: Knowledge of electrical code, Ability to read and understand prints, ability to focus on a job and complete in a timely manner, Self-motivated.
Primary Duties: Oversee and Manage projects which includes organizing project, acquire proper materials, communicate and advise Branch Manager of job progress, complete work orders with time and material rates for billing and give suggestions to Division Manager to increase production and reduce cost. Most be flexible in working hours, responsible for apprentices’ work, must be able to teach and guide apprentices, Maintain a clean, well-services and well-stocked vehicle, attend yearly code review class, implement proper safety procedures on all projects.
Most have High School degree of equivalent, 4-year apprentice training, Passed Journeyman’ s test. Code class desired.
Qualifications
Most have High School degree of equivalent, 4-year apprentice training, teacher mentality, ability to manage a project, passed Journeyman’ s test. Strong knowledge of Article 500 in NEC Book.
