CES, Inc. has an indefinite opportunity available with one of the leading providers of technical support professionals to the Big 3, suppliers to the Big 3, and many other top automotive clients.
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Leads and directs the work of others. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Position Description: Responsible for complete powertrain program within a vehicle team structure. Achievement of program targets (quality, cost and timing).Driving the common product development process. Management of the integration of a powertrain system to a vehicle. Single point interface for the vehicle team to communicate to the powertrain community. Reporting of program status, risk management and issue resolution. Approving all component changes involving cost (i.e. change review board) to the vehicle program. Final approval for all program spending to ensure conformance to approved integration program budget. Concurrence to ER&D expenditures (parts, tooling and billed hours).Implementing continuous improvement processes in terms of integration program management deliverables. Significant support in: Projection of development costs to a program. Interface with the Finance community for variable cost structure on Powertrain components.
Bachelor’s degree engineering, technical or business field from ABET accredited University. Minimum of 5 years of powertrain background. Minimum of 5 years business and technical project leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a technical or business field. Business degree (MBA) or certificate a plus. Strong experience in design, manufacturing and program management. Ability to set stretch goals, create and sustain energy and drive results. Drives change where necessary to bring projects to fruition. Builds strong business cases and communicates effectively to senior management. Create a strategic vision for product portfolio and execute strategic change. Demonstrate strong business acumen and results orientation. Exhibit strong intellect, sound judgment and strategic thinking. Supports and promotes team above self-interest.
