Job Description
Mold Maker needed for an immediate 1st shift opportunity! Candidate will perform bench and machine operations to layout, machine, fabricate and assemble components to construct prototypes of newly engineered products, engineering alterations and modifications on the regular line of products for testing and experimental purposes, such models to involve electrical and/or mechanical mechanisms of intricate and complex engineering design of highly precise tolerances and workmanship requiring a thorough knowledge of the technology involved together with long term experience.
Other primary duties include:
-Plans work procedures, machine operations and setups; select speeds, feeds, tooling and attachments to perform difficult operations; improvise machines, tooling and fixtures to perform unusual machining operations when required.
-Performs bench operations to assemble and construct models; do fitting, aligning, calibrating and adjusting incidental to project requirements relative to materials used, tolerances, fits and mechanical concepts.
-Construct, alter and modify test devices, apparatus and mechanisms used to conduct tests on models.
-Dismantle prototypes and inspect parts for wear; determine reasons for malfunction or failure.
-Coordinate project assignments and work closely with Engineering and laboratory personnel to accomplish development objectives.
Qualifications
Works from Engineering drawings, diagrams, sketches, specification charts and handbook formulas. Uses a wide variety of precision measuring instruments to lay out work, set up machines, assemble and check work.
Requires:
-3-5 years of experience preferably in automotive industry
-Must be able and willing to work overtime as designated by client
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
Pay $20+ per hour depending on experience.
