CES, Inc. has an indefinite opportunity available with a major automotive supplier for a Mechanical Engineer.
Job Description
Mechanical Engineer Establish physical and functional integration of vehicles / systems during the program planning phase (Concept to Program Approval) in the area of underbody structure (floor, rails, etc.).Translate strategic and functional objectives into technical requirements, create and analyze alternative design concepts, and package and integrate systems and components which may be competing for space, and balance competing interests. Specific areas of responsibility are: underbody structure (floor, rails, cooling module support, etc.), belly pans (aero shields), skid plates, bumper attachment. Competitive benchmarking.
Qualifications
3+ years body-in-white, underbody design / development. Teamcenter, TCVis, NX, Catia (CAD capability to position/manipulate models, cut sections, etc. (extensive design capability not required). CAE beneficial but not required
