Assembly Process Technician needed for openings in South Bend, IN!
Job Description
Seeking an Assembly Process Technician for a well-known company in the area! As the Assembly Process Technician you will be the on-site, shift-specific technical resource to the Production Supervisor who is required to troubleshoot, support, maintain and enhance all Assembly operations and systems in the areas of uptime, quality, efficiency and operator support during change-over. Also assists in the development of work instructions and training materials for the Assembly area, trains new operators and assists Production Supervisors and Engineering to ensure the operators are following proper procedures per guidelines.
Primary responsibilities include:
-Assist Production and Engineering Managers in attacking constraint operations.
-Involvement in day-to-day problem solving to ensure that all Assembly processes meet customer requirements for quality and delivery.
-Become a “hands on” technical expert in all Assembly areas and act as the shift-specific Assembly engineering expert on call working at the shop floor level.
-Provides training to others on new processes or where applicable.
-Assists in implementing engineering changes and new part introductions.
-Assists in creation of work instructions and process operating instructions.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess:
-Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
-Two-year Associates degree or 2-4 years of technical experience a plus
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface well with internal and external customers, suppliers, vendors and all levels of management
-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
