CES, Inc. has an indefinite opportunity available with a major automotive supplier for a Quality Engineer.
Job Description
Performs root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem solving tools (like Kepner Tregoe, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments). Recommends and implements simple cost-effective permanent corrective actions. Analyzes quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure calibration. Manages engineering changes working with cross-functional team to ensure timely execution. Conducts product evalulation tests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation.
Work with Engineering and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable. Recommend and validate rework procedures. Develop inspection standards and best methods for performing inspection. Help production with problem solving and developing standardized work for production operators, including boundary samples. Develop projects to support World Class Manufacturing. Good understanding customer functional objectives and corresponding engineering requirements for electrical components and systems including the latest technology features in the automotive field%3b Good understanding of electrical component and system validation%3b Knowledge of statistical concepts and weibull analysis to estimate reliability or B10 or B5 life%3b and self-starter with good written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
Good knowledge of GD&T -Application of Problem Solving Tools - Knowledge of Statistics. SPC background preferred - MS Excel Proficiency - knowledge of SPC or DOE packages preferred - Very good understanding of DFMEA, DVP and Warranty Analysis
