Job Description
Our client an international leader in logistics and distribution is seeking several CDL Class A Drivers for regional positions! If you are a safe and reliable driver that doesn’t mind some heavy lifting this may be the position for you! Our client hires after a 60 day training period with a pay raise upon hire! Our client is upgrading to new trucks and these positions won’t last long!
Our client is located in Aurora, CO, this is a regional driving position and Drivers would only need to commute to Aurora twice a week, being out 2-3 days each time!
Duties to include:
-Drive tractor, maneuvering into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
-Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
-Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery. Inspect trailer to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport of product.
-Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
-Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures and exceptions.
-Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should:
-You must be at least 23 years of age
-Have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License
-2+ years tractor/trailer experience with 100,000 verifiable miles
-Have accident free driving record for the past three years
-Mountain driving and foodservice experience preferred
-Be able to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
-Be able to use a Tractor-trailer, 2 wheel dolly, ramp, and on-board Peoplenet device.
-Be able to lift maximum of 100 lbs., and frequent lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs.
-Have exceptional customer service skills and work ethic
