Sales & Service Engineer needed for direct hire in Taylor, MI!

Job Description

Seeking a Sales & Service Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with our client!  As Sales & Service Engineer you will sell mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and supplies and services by performing the following duties.

-Calls on management representatives such as engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.
-Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates or projected increases in production from client’s use of proposed equipment or services.
-Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
-Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
-Develop opportunities for the company and serve as a point person in developing proposals.
-Provides technical training to employees of client.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess:
-Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; Fifth year college or university program certificate; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Broad knowledge and experience in durable goods industry gained at successive levels of responsibility in multiple areas of plant management/operation.
-Knowledge of steel mill production equipment a plus.
-Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies
-Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
-To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCad.
