Job Description
We have a full time opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant with experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment! We are looking for someone to help out in a purchasing department. This person will be doing data entry, tracking purchase orders, using excel spreadsheets, working with suppliers by phone and email, and communicating with customers on the status of their orders. They will also be coordinating with shipping and receiving to verify timely and accurate inbound and outbound shipments.
Qualifications
Experience supporting purchasing functions in a machine shop environment.
Understanding of various types of metals and their terminology.
Experience with ERP Software.
Good communication skills over the phone and through email.
Experience working with customers and suppliers.
Good MS Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
