CES, Inc. has an indefinite opportunity available with a major automotive supplier for an Aero/Thermal Engineer.
Job Description
Development of a Simulation Model for Powertrain Thermal Management System to meet Fuel Economy Objectives as well as Powertrain Cooling Targets for Gas Vehicles.
Responsible for all Thermal Model Simulation activity for Powertrain, and Transmission Cooling.
Identify enhancements to the Powertrain Thermal Management Architecture to optimize the distribution of all powertrain waste heat at a minimum power consumption using simulation tools.
Develop Simulation Test Plans, and timelines to meet Vehicle Thermal Management System requirements including an understanding of Controls and Subsystem dependencies.
Coordinate Full Vehicle Energy Model Simulation to reflect vehicle hardware tests and develop further refinements to optimize heat transfer. Provide Vehicle Test Correlation to the Simulation Model and support test methodology to measure thermal dynamics for Simulation Control Models (MatLab/Simulink).
Coordinate with Powertrain and Controls Teams, as well as, the Scientific Lab Groups.
Communicate Project Status effectively and provide detailed test reports.
Qualifications
